Bacon Green Beans with Mushrooms is my simple answer to this problem. Not only is it quick and easy to make, but it’s packed with flavor. It’s also one of those side dishes that can work with just about any steak, chicken, or pork dish.

Bacon Green Beans with Mushrooms
Bacon Green Beans with Mushrooms is a simple side dish that makes a perfect partner to steak, chicken, or pork.
Ingredients
- 8 oz crimini mushrooms diced
- 1/2 lb fresh green beans chopped, 1 in pieces
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 12 slices bacon
- 2 tbsp bacon grease
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 c onions diced
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions

Fry bacon, remove from skillet, reserve 2 tbsp bacon grease in skillet and drain the rest. Chop bacon into bite sized pieces.

Add onions, green beans, and mushrooms to the skillet. Season with salt to taste. Cook for over medium heat until onions are tender. Add garlic, cooked bacon, and lemon juice. Heat for an additional minute or 2 before serving.
