Spicy Cilantro Lime Dressing – Low Carb

Bring a southwest chipotle flavor to all of your favorite salads, side dishes, pastas, and main dishes with this homemade spicy cilantro lime dressing.
One of my favorite ways to spice up a dish is by using different dressings and sauces. Even boring leftovers can get a breath of new life with just a couple tablespoons of a different sauce. Try it on your eggs in the morning, or as a dip with veggies for a snack. If you’re looking for a spicy southwest taste, then this recipe is going to help you out.
Recipe Adjustments
For my own preferences I like to take the spice up a notch with the chipotle seasoning while turning the acid from the lime juice down a bit. Not everyone is a fan of cilantro, so this may be another ingredient you want to adjust to get the perfect ratio for your cilantro lime dressing proportions. If you want to play around with these ingredients I recommend making the dressing and letting it rest in the refrigerator for a few hours to let the flavors meld. Give it a try then and adjust to your liking from there. If you tweak the flavors too early you might end up with more of one flavor or two than intended.
I use my own homemade salsa from veggies grown in my garden, so when I added this recipe to my tracker I added in Muir Glen salsa. It’s one of my favorite no sugar added salsas for when I’m out of the homemade variety.
