  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Pat chicken breasts dry and place in a baking dish.

  2. In a small bowl, combine butter, lemon juice, garlic, and thyme. Rub butter mix over chicken breasts, then sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until chicken is cooked through, 165°F.

  3. Let chicken rest for at least 5 minutes, garnish with chives or lemon slices if desired.
